Blood Assurance is facing an emergency need for blood donors, and they could really use your help.
Donations have been down throughout the summer, but the situation is especially serious right now.
The Rome donor center had only one or two appointments scheduled on one day this week.
Blood Assurance needs around 540 donors each day to meet the needs of the hospitals they serve, including AdventHealth Redmond and Atrium Health Floyd.
Donors in Rome have two options for incentives:
- Schedule through Blood Assurance and receive a $25 e-gift card.
- Schedule through Goodlabs and receive free health testing, including several blood panels.
The Bowerman family will be hosting a blood drive and fundraiser next week.
