The streets of Cave Spring were lined with locals as the Fourth of July Parade began.
The people of Cave Spring and neighboring towns and cities all gathered in celebration this Fourth of July Morning as ice cream was served, candy was handed out, and everyone was clad in red, white and blue. The parade began on Lee Street and ended on Alabama Street. Even before the parade, people celebrated by meeting with one another and local gathering spots handed out goodies like ice cream for all the kids set to enjoy the parade.
Celebrating that on this day, 150 years ago, the Declaration of Independence was adopted, the United States declared its independence, and a war against the Kingdom of England began.
Happy Independence Day from us here at WRGA.
