-Floyd County Jail records-
A local man was arrested at a hotel on Martha Berry Boulevard on Wednesday on a felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals.
According to Floyd County jail records:
25-year-old Joseph Robert Bisher struck his dog named “Oreo” with a machete, causing a deep laceration.
When asked why he did what he did, Bisher stated that he did not want to hit his girlfriend, so he hit the dog instead.
