The Floyd County Board of Education is set to approve the fiscal year 2026-2027 budget when it meets on Monday.
The $172,790,754 budget sees a projected July 1 beginning fund balance of $41,607,459, and a $33,191,916 projected fund balance on June 30, 2027.
Projected revenue from local property taxes is listed at $49,333,190, with revenues from state sources anticipated at $75,917,050.
The lion’s share of the budget, just over $84 million, goes toward instructional services.

The board will also consider a request for the replacement of surveillance cameras at Model High School.
The total cost is $308,917.55.
This will be a complete camera replacement that will be funded using education special sales tax funds.
Monday’s Floyd County Board of Education meeting begins at 8 a.m. at the central office on Riverside Parkway.
The caucus is at 7:30.
