Woman arrested for meth possession, public indecency
An East Rome woman is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, public indecency, littering, and loitering or prowling following her arrest over the weekend.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
45-year-old Kerry Elizabeth Maxwell stayed on the property of the Forum River Center at Two Government Plaza after being asked numerous times by employees to leave while they were setting up for a concert on Friday.
Maxwell left garbage on the property and asked a police officer to give her a citation for littering.
She was partially naked, wearing only a cardigan and a newspaper, while she had other clothing in her bags.
Maxwell also urinated on the property and was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
Man accused of stealing pickup truck
A North Rome man was jailed over the weekend on a felony theft charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
60-year-old Vincent Shariff Maxwell took a 1992 Chevy GMT pickup truck that did not belong to him.
The pickup is valued at $2,000, and Maxwell is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle.
