Monday is Memorial Day, a time to remember members of the U.S. Armed Services who have paid the ultimate price for freedom, and later this morning, a service will be held at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds.
The Memorial Day ceremony, presented by the Exchange Club of Rome, will be in the Palladium building, starting at 10 a.m.
Music will be provided by the Exchange Brass, Exchange Club of Rome Ensemble and the guest speaker will be Lt. Colonel Michael B. Baka (U.S. Army Retired).
The replica of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier will also be on display.
Attendees are asked to enter the main gate, park in the fair parking lanes and walk to the Palladium.
