The Rome-Floyd County Planning Commission will consider a rezoning request for a new townhome development in North Rome when it meets on Thursday.
The applicant is seeking to rezone multiple parcels on North Broad Street and Dwinell Street from High Density Traditional to Multi-Family Residential in order to demo the existing homes and build a total of 14 townhomes in two phases.
The planning commission meeting begins at 2:30 p.m. at Rome City Hall.
The planning commission will also consider rezoning requests for 304 East 19th Street from Light Industrial to High Density Traditional Residential, 433 Walker Street from Community Commercial to Low Density Traditional Residential, 421 Cedar Avenue from Light Industrial to High Density Traditional Residential to allow for the sale of an existing home, and 8105 Alabama Highway from Heavy-Industrial to Agricultural Residential in order to remove an old manufactured home and to replace with a new manufactured home.
