A public meeting for the Chulio Road improvement project will be held on Thursday, May 7, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church, located at 702 Pleasant Valley Rd SE in Silver Creek. Public comments regarding preliminary right-of-way and construction plans are welcome.
In 2023, voters approved a SPLOST package that involves improvements to Chulio Road, including:
– widening the roadway
– improving shoulders
– adjusting horizontal and vertical alignment
– intersection improvements to Chulio from Boyd Valley to the intersection with US411
This project is located in both the City of Rome, GA – Government, and the unincorporated Floyd County. Residential areas benefiting from this project include Woodfin Estates, Twickenham, and Hampton Preserve.
