The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a contract for a paving project on State Route 293 in Bartow County.
The project includes 4.6 miles of milling, plant mix resurfacing, and shoulder rehabilitation beginning west of Railroad Road in Kingston and extending to the Floyd County Line.
C.W. Matthews Contracting of Marietta was the low bidder at just over $2.9 million.
The estimated completion date is February 2027.
