The City of Cave Spring kicked off Georgia Cities Week on Monday by welcoming its new city manager to his first day on the job.
Stephen Walker brings a commitment to thoughtful leadership and community-focused governance, and has already expressed an appreciation for Cave Spring’s deep-rooted history and the role it continues to play in shaping the city’s character.
He looks forward to building on that strong foundation while supporting responsible growth and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Walker comes to Cave Spring from Polk County, where he was the assistant elections director.
He replaces Nick McLemore, who was Cave Spring’s first city manager after the city council voted to change from a mayor to a city manager form of government back in 2023.
