Man accused of breaking into apartment, terrorizing woman and child
An Atlanta man is facing multiple charges, including 1st-degree burglary, aggravated stalking, and 1st-degree cruelty to children, following his arrest on Carter Avenue in Rome on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
31-year-old Miguel Angel Bogarin broke down the door of an apartment on Avenue B, causing more than $500 in damage and violating a temporary protective order.
An adult female and a 12-year-old child were in the residence at the time.
Bogarin then took the woman’s wallet and credit card before leaving the scene and throwing the victim’s belongings out of the car window.
He was arrested during a traffic stop and is additionally charged with 3rd-degree cruelty to children, 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, misdemeanor theft by taking, tampering with evidence, driving with a suspended or revoked license, suspended registration, and driving without insurance.
Inmate accused of making a threat
An inmate at the Floyd County Jail is facing a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.
According to jail records:
40-year-old Robert Allen Anderson was heard on a recorded cell phone call, threatening to kill a 66-year-old woman.
The two had cohabited in the past.
Anderson has been in jail since October after being picked up for a probation violation.

An East Rome woman is accused of trying to intimidate her landlord by using a threat.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
31-year-old Summer Jordan Garner wrote a letter stating that she would kill someone if she did not receive $120,000 from the landlord, who is 65 years old.
Garner is charged with exploitation or intimidation of the elderly, and terroristic threats and acts.
Man charged with possession of meth, marijuana
A Rome man is facing drug charges.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
32-year-old Bill Franklin Douglas III was in possession of methamphetamine and over two ounces of marijuana, packaged for sale, along with a digital scale while at a location on Dwyatt Street in October of last year.
Douglas is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects, and a probation violation.
