The Rome Board of Education will recognize several students and educators when it meets on Tuesday.
The recognition includes the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition winners; local, district, and state Technology Competition winners; Georgia Music Educators Association Awards; the Region Literary Meet Award; and the Georgia State Thespy Competition Winner.
Other recognitions include 4-H District Project Achievement, STEM Certification, GAEL Aspiring Principals Academy, and GAEL New Principals Institute.
The board will also adopt a Teacher Appreciation Week and Teacher Appreciation Day Resolution, approve the custodial bid for 2027, and hear a school spotlight featuring Rome High School.
The caucus will be held at 4:00 p.m., and the regular meeting will start at 5:45 p.m. at the Rome City Schools College and Career Academy on Veterans Memorial Highway.
