The Floyd County Board of Commissioners will consider a bid for the phase I renovation of the former joint law enforcement center when it meets on Tuesday.
The contract is expected to go to Brooks Building Group, which was the low bidder, in the amount of $2,823,200, using funds from the 2017 special-purpose, local option sales tax (SPLOST).
As part of the local sales tax (LOST) negotiations a few years ago, it was agreed that the city and county police would move, and the law enforcement center would be renovated into additional courtroom space.
Tuesday’s meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the County Administration building located at 12 East 4th Avenue.
The caucus will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the caucus room.
