The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds conducted practice on Thursday ahead of the Wings Over North Georgia air show, taking place on Friday and Saturday at Rome’s Richard B. Russell Regional Airport.
The Thunderbirds F-16 Fighting Falcons will be the featured performers both days.
The Louisiana Air National Guard “Bayou Militia” also practiced on Thursday in their F-15C/D Eagle fighter jets.

Performers: There will be military demonstrations by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the F-15 Bayou Militia, and the “Chuters” Skydiving Team. World-class civilian performers include Redline Air Shows, Fox Jet Sailplane, GhostWriter Airshows Super Chipmunk, Kyle Fowler Long EZ, Buck Roetman’s Yak, Jive Kerby’s T-28 Mad Dog, Scott Yoak’s P-51 Mustang, Jim Tobul’s F-4U Corsair, and the Jet Car Show.
Show Details:
- Tickets for the Air Show are ADVANCE PURCHASE only and will not be sold on show days. Those interested in attending the event should purchase early before tickets are sold out.
- General admission and reserved ticket options are available for the 2026 show – Herky Hill viewing and Drive-In Parking (Carload), Patio Club, Family Club Chalet, Chairman’s Club Chalet, Family Club Four-Pack
- Beverages and food will be available for sale on site.
