-City of Rome-
The City of Rome is offering some helpful tips for people trying to access downtown businesses during the closure at Tribune Street and 5th Avenue following last week’s fire at the Historic Floyd County Courthouse.
Access to LaScala is available after courthouse hours.
Once the courthouse closes each day, Tribune Street will be opened at the 4th Avenue intersection, and visitors may drive up Tribune Street toward LaScala.
Guest drop-off is permitted at the entrance, and drivers can use the County sally port drive to safely turn around.
Access is limited to this specific area only.
No vehicles or pedestrians will be allowed past the block wall barricade further up Tribune Street.
Note, there is no access beyond the barricade.
