Woman accused of attacking another woman with a knife or razor
A 44-year old West Rome woman is facing a felony aggravated assault charge following her arrest on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Jennifer Michelle Pauley used a knife or razor blade to seriously injure another woman.
The assault occurred at a location on West 12th Street in Rome on Thursday of last week.
Two charged following altercation at home
Two West Rome residents were arrested on Monday at their Burnett Ferry Road home on charges of 2nd-degree cruelty to children and battery.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
35-year-old Crystal Ann Cron and 52-year old Daniel Andrew Adams engaged in a physical altercation with multiple people in the residence in the presence of two children.
One of the people involved in the altercation sustained lacerations to the face and hands.
The incident occurred on March 23.
Woman charged with entering auto, financial transaction card fraud
A Lyerly woman who was arrested on March 18 for allegedly stealing over $1,000 in jewelry from Whistle Britches at 206 Broad Street in December of last year is facing charges in a separate incident.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
44-year-old Elizabeth Marie Gunnells entered an automobile on Turner McCall Boulevard on March 16 and took numerous items totaling approximately $400.
One of the items was a credit card, which Gunnells used in an attempt to withdraw $100 from an ATM.
Gunnells is charged with entering an auto, theft by taking, and financial transaction card fraud.
Woman accused of turning in a falsely completed community service form
A South Rome woman has been arrested on a felony count of false statements and writings.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
35-year-old Christine Lydia Veitch falsely completed a community service sheet to turn in to her probation officer on March 1.
She did so knowing it would be given to a Rome Municipal Court judge.
