Charges have been filed in a wreck that occurred on January 30 on South Hanks Street at South Avenue.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
18-year-old Tomas Esteban-Bartolome was driving under the influence when he crashed his vehicle, seriously injuring a 16-year old passenger and an adult passenger.
He then tried to deceive the investigating officer by telling them that someone else was driving.
Esteban-Bortolome is charged with two counts of serious injury by vehicle, 2nd-degree cruelty to children, DUI, obstruction, possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21, driving with a suspended license, and failure to maintain a lane.
