Man charged with felony obstruction, disorderly conduct
A Lindale man has been arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and two felony counts of obstruction of law enforcement.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
55-year-old Robert Anthony Chapman charged at a woman and used abusive language at an apartment complex on Redmond Road on March 20.
On March 26, he ran back into his house on Garden Avenue as officers were attempting to execute an arrest warrant.
He then tried to escape and resisted by kicking and grabbing two officers as they tried to detain him.
Chapman also shoved an officer into a wall, causing a glass and wood cabinet to fall on another officer.
Man charged with aggravated assault
An Adairsville man is accused of assaulting a woman at a home on East 4th Street in Rome on March 23.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
41-year-old Stephen John Palazzi II choked a woman until she lost consciousness.
When the victim woke up, Palazzi started choking her again.
The assault was witnessed by two children.
Palazzi is charged with aggravated assault and two counts of 3rd-degree cruelty to children.
Elderly woman arrested on charges of obstructing or hindering medical personnel
An 82-year old Cave Spring woman has been charged with obstructing or hindering medical personnel following an incident at Cave Spring Manor on Alabama Street.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
82-year-old Alicia Ott of Cave Spring grabbed a caregiver’s shirt and pulled her out of a resident’s room as the caregiver was attempting to administer medications.
Ott also struck the victim twice with her hands and scratched her on her left forearm.
