Rome City Schools is pleased to announce that Brittany Little has been named the principal at Elm Street Elementary School, starting June 1, 2026. Mrs. Little was approved as Elm Street’s new principal by the Rome City Schools Board of Education in a called board meeting on Monday morning at the Central Office.
Mrs. Little will be taking over for current principal Lisa Strack, who will be stepping into her new role of West End Elementary Principal, on June 1, 2026.
“Elm Street is an extraordinary place in so many ways, and I am honored to have the opportunity to continue serving this school community by moving into the role of Principal. I hope that we remain closely connected as a school family, working together as partners to support every child. I genuinely care about each student at Elm Street Elementary, and I want to continue to build on the progress we have made over the past few years,” Mrs. Little said.
Mrs. Little has been a fixture at Elm Street for almost a decade. She started her time at the school as a second-grade teacher before moving into roles as an academic coach and then an instructional specialist. She has been Elm Street’s assistant principal since January 2023. Mrs. Little was also a teacher at North Heights Elementary School from 2011 to 2017 before moving to Elm Street.
Mrs. Little received her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Elementary Education from Auburn University and Educational Tier 1 Leadership from the University of West Georgia.
