The Rome City Commission will revisit a request for a Coin Operated Amusement Machine Waiver for a North Rome convenience store when it meets on Monday.
The waiver for Stop N Go, 400A Calhoun Avenue, was tabled during the commission’s last meeting.
The store is located between a church and a residence, so it cannot comply with the distance requirement in the ordinance that states a business with COAMs must be 300 feet from a church and 150 feet from a residence.
The ordinance was adopted in 2024.
The commission meeting begins at 6:30 pm at Rome City Hall.
Commissioners will also consider appointments to the Downtown Development Authority and the Landbank Authority.
During the caucus, which starts at 5 pm, the commission will hear a presentation from Rome Water and Sewer Division Director John Boyd.
