Two arrested for 2nd-degree child cruelty
Two Fosters Bend Road residents are accused of failing to provide a safe and sanitary environment for children living inside their home.
According to the arrest warrants:
In every room of the home, there was old food on the floor and furniture, along with trash, dirty dishes, and mounds of dirty clothes, crumbs, cigarette butts and old beverage containers on the floor.
There was expired food in the refrigerator and dirty carpets.
26-year-old Hannah Cheyenne Leatherwood and 25-year-old Justin Tyler Leslie are both charged with 2nd-degree cruelty to children.
Woman charged with possession of fentanyl
A 25-year-old Rome woman was arrested on Monday on a felony warrant charging her with possession of fentanyl.
According to the warrant:
25-year-old Kathryn Ann Ingram was in possession of the controlled substance at an unknown location in Floyd County back on January 29.
Ingram has been released on bond.
Tennessee woman returned to Floyd County to face drug charges
A Tennessee woman was booked into the Floyd County Jail on drug charges in connection with a traffic stop at Maple Avenue and East 18th Street back in July of last year.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
56-year-old Kimberly Denise Pelfrey was found with methamphetamine, an amphetamine pill and a glass smoking device.
She also resisted arrest.
Pelfrey is charged with possession of meth, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug-related objects, and misdemeanor obstruction of officers.
