Man charged with false statements and writings
A Summerville man is accused of applying for a driver’s license using fraudulent means.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
55-year-old Mark Williams went into the Georgia Department of Driver’s Services on Martha Berry Highway in Rome on February 9, 2024, and completed an application for a license using a different name and date of birth.
He then signed the application, stating that the information was correct.
Williams is charged with a felony count of false statements and writings.
Man accused of having THC vape
A West Rome man was arrested on a felony charge during a traffic stop on Burnett Ferry Road on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
35-year-old Donnie Robert Popham was driving with a suspended Alabama driver’s license and was then found with a THC vape device.
He is charged with a felony count of possession of THC oil and a misdemeanor count of driving with a suspended or revoked license.
