Redmond Circle at Walmart / Gala Shopping Center will close on Tuesday at 6 a.m.
The detour is Ga Loop 1 / Redmond / Division to Shorter.
The project is scheduled for 48 hour closure, but could likely open within 24 hours.
Also planned for Tuesday are Old Airport Road and a pedestrian crossing east of Dellwood.
North Elm Street crossing will likely be next on Wednesday, as well as a pedestrian crossing and Sheridan Drive.
