Alabama Highway is closed today at the railroad crossing west of Barker Road.
The railroad will be replacing the rail starting at 6 am, but the contractor plans to be finished before the close of business.
Detours are in place.
The route identified by the safety coordinator is Wood Road to Garden Lakes Parkway and Redmond Circle.
