Summerville man accused of pointing a firearm at a woman
A Summerville man was arrested at North Elm Street and Laurel Avenue on Thursday and charged with aggravated assault.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
51-year-old Phillip Cornell Williams pointed a firearm at a woman during an argument at a location on Shorter Avenue.
Williams is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Execution of seacrh warrants leads to arrest
Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Morgan Drive and arrested a Rome man on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records;
39-year-old Lamonte Xavier Lamar Edwards was in possession of cocaine, more than an ounce of marijuana, and a digital scale during the execution of a search warrant.
He is charged with possession of cocaine, felony possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug-related objects.
Man charged with drug possession, battery
A West Rome man was arrested at Flannery Street at Juniper Way on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
41-year-old Patrick Cortez Turner was found with 43 grams of suspected marijuana, suspected methamphetamine, amphetamine pills, and a digital scale during a traffic stop.
He is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of drug-related objects, and giving a false name to law enforcement.
Turner was also arrested on a warrant charging him with battery.
According to the warrant:
On February 23, Turner hit a woman and ripped her hair out, leaving a swollen, bald spot.
Man charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, other offenses
A Rosemont Park man is facing multiple charges following his arrest on Thursday.
According to an arrest warrant:
20-year-old Zaterrian Jermaine Osborne was in possession of an AK-style rifle back on November 12.
Osborne is charged with seventeen counts of participation in criminal street gang activity, two counts of theft by receiving stolen property, five counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and a probation violation.
No additional details were available concerning the other charges.
