Shoplifting suspect charged with drug possession
A Rome man initially arrested on a misdemeanor count of theft by shoplifting is also facing felony drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
33-year-old Fernando Willie Mills took $19.98 in merchandise from the West Rome Walmart.
He was then found with cocaine, more than an ounce of marijuana, several plastic baggies, and a scale.
Mills also ran from police and resisted arrest.
He is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, and misdemeanor obstruction.
Man charged with loitering, drug possession
A Stockbridge man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Wednesday and charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and loitering or prowling.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A vehicle driven by 21-year old Shaihi Vicente Brown was parked behind a closed business on Armstrong Street in Rome.
He was then found with a bottle of THC oil and a small amount of marijuana.
