-Cartersville Police report-
A woman reportedly tells police that she got the idea to shoplift from social media.
According to a Cartersville Police Department report:
28-year-old Maliyah Deondria Dillard of Cartersville and 31-year-old Wyn Nese Deshawn Middlebrooks of Temple were taken into custody at Target after taking personal care items, jewelry, and other items with a combined value of more than $700.
Middlebrooks told officers that she and Dillard saw on TikTok that Target stores are very easy to steal from, so they decided to attempt to steal merchandise from the store.
Dillard was then found with 18 Adderall pills inside an unmarked pill bottle, along with a small amount of suspected methamphetamine inside a dollar bill and a straw.
Once at the jail, Middlebrooks was found with more items taken from the store, which were concealed in a body cavity.
Both women are charged with felony theft by shoplifting, while Dillard is additionally charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drugs not in the original container, and possession of drug-related objects.
