It appears as though Rome and Floyd County may get a presidential visit later this week.
Multiple media outlets are reporting that Donald Trump is set visit the area on Thursday.
The Rome News-Tribune reported on Monday that the Floyd County Republican Party has been contacted by the White House in preparation for a possible visit.
Trump recently endorsed Clay Fuller in the Special Election to fill the 14th District seat in the US House of Representatives.
Early voting for that election is underway.
