Northwest Georgia Paving of Calhoun is the apparent low bidder for major intersection upgrades near AdventHealth Stadium in Rome.
The project will improve traffic flow while minimizing impacts during school hours and rush periods.
The bid amount is just shy of $1.59 million, which is below the $1.7 million estimated budget.
The start date is 30–45 days after the Notice to Proceed is issued, and the work is expected to last 270 days.
Four competitive bids were received from Glosson Enterprises, C.W. Matthews Construction, JHC Corp,. and Northwest Georgia Paving
The City of Rome Engineering Office, in partnership with EXP consultants and with support from the Georgia Department of Transportation, is reviewing all bids to finalize the contract.
