Woman charged with aggravated assault
West Rome woman was arrested at her Fortune Street home on Tuesday on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, and battery.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
66-year-old Ora Bunn King assaulted a man with a knife, cutting his finger and threatening to kill him, while stabbing the pillow beside the victim’s head.
Man charged with fleeing or attempting to elude
A West Rome man is accused of fleeing from police.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
47-year-old Waschunn Keyatta Wofford Sr. failed to stop for a pursuing police vehicle in the area of North Elm Street and Shorter Avenue.
He fled at a high rate of speed, going between two lanes, passing other vehicles in an unsafe manner, and traveling in the center turn lane
Wofford is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, obstruction of officers, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, improper passing, u-turns, driving with suspended registration, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
