Congratulations to Armuchee Middle School’s Gabriella Johnson for snagging the top spot in the Floyd County School System’s 2026 Spelling Bee.
Johnson will now move on to the Northwest Georgia region spelling bee in February at Georgia Highlands College, where she will compete against other top spellers from across the region.
Model Middle’s David Hightower was the runner-up in the FCS Spelling Bee, which was held on Tuesday.
