Qualifying began on Monday for candidates seeking to run in the March 10 Special Election for the United States House of Representatives in District 14.
According to the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office, those who have qualified so far include:

Christian Hurd – U.S. Marine, Whitfield County

Qualifying for the seat left vacant by the resignation of Marjorie Taylor Greene continues today until 4 p.m., on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Atlanta.
The qualifying fee is $5,220.00.
Again, the Special Election is on March 10. If needed, a runoff will be held on April 7.
Monday, February 9, 2026, is the last day to register to vote for all persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to vote in the Special Election. Advance in-person absentee voting will begin on Monday, February 16, 2026.
