Dale Johnson has been named the Floyd County School System’s School Resource Officer of the Year.
Johnson is a school resource officer for the Coosa District.
“Dale has done an outstanding job,” said Floyd County Schools Chief Safety and Security Officer Rick Flanigen. “He is the type I would describe as very low-key. He doesn’t bring a lot of attention to himself, but he is well-respected by school administrators. We are just really pleased to have him on our team. We have such talented and passionate SROs working in the Floyd County Schools, and we are really grateful for that.”
Johnson received the 2025 Award of Honor earlier this month from the Floyd County School System’s Central Office.
