Man charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats
An East Rome man is facing charges after he allegedly pointed a gun at another man at a location on Turner McCall Boulevard back on Friday.
According to the arrest warrants:
64-year-old John Randall Headrick told the victim he was going to kill him and should have done it a long time ago.
He walked up and pointed the firearm very close to the victim.
Headrick is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, pointing or aiming a gun at another person, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Report: Man assaulted family member
A man is accused of stabbing a family member at his Darlington Way apartment over the weekend.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
22-year-old Elijah Montez Bradley also struck the woman with a metal broom handle.
The victim sustained a serious laceration to her arm.
Bradley is charged with aggravated assault.
Man charged with child cruelty
An Armuchee man is facing charges of 1st and 3rd-degree cruelty to children following an incident at a residence on Toles Road over the weekend.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
36-year-old Sergio Dominguez went into the room of a teenage girl and began shaking her while yelling.
He then went to the room of another juvenile female and started kicking the door, breaking it from the frame.
Dominguez is additionally charged with simple battery, criminal trespass with property damage, and a probation violation.
Woman arrested on warrant charging her with conspiracy to commit a felony
A woman from Boynton Beach, Florida, has been charged in an alleged conspiracy to smuggle contraband into the Floyd County Prison in April of 2024.
According to an arrest warrant:
21-year-old Sharnica Faustin conspired with an inmate and another civilian to have what is known as “strips” to the restroom of the Third Avenue Parking Deck, which was being cleaned daily by inmates.
“Strips” are pieces of paper, soaked in various drugs or chemicals, which can be dried and ingested, primarily by smoking them.
The attempt was made twice, with the contraband being recovered both times before it could be picked up by an inmate.
Faustin is charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.
Man charged with felony marijuana possession
A North Rome man was arrested on drug charges over the weekend on North Avenue at Wolf Drive.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
42-year-old Bronson Delray Payne had over an ounce of marijuana, scales, baggies, and packaging materials.
He is charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession with the intent to distribute.
