3:30 PM update from the Rome Police Department:The Rome Police Department continues to actively investigate a presumed homicide that occurred in the area of John Graham Homes near Hull Avenue and Cedar Avenue.
During the initial investigation, witnesses reported seeing a red passenger vehicle in the area immediately before the discovery of the body, which was covered with blankets.
The identified vehicle was later stopped by the Floyd County Police Department in Bartow County. Two individuals are currently being questioned, along with multiple neighbors in the immediate area where the body was located.
Rome Police confirmed that the victim is female, but their identity has not yet been released at this time.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation, and anyone with information related to this incident is strongly encouraged to contact the Rome Police Department or call 9-1-1.
