-Staff reports-

The musical lineup for this year’s Fiddlin’ Fest in Downtown Rome has been announced.

The free bluegrass street festival features the classical sounds of bluegrass music on two live music stages.

On the North Stage, Fischer Lord, Little Country Giants, Seventeen Wheeler, and Jeremy Wells and Friends will be performing, while Gypsy Outfit, Cousin Clem, Bettin’ on the Mule, and Jesse & The Boys will be featured on the South Stage.

In addition to the music, there will be activities along every block of the festival, according to Kristi Kent with the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism.

“They will have all of your favorite festival foods,” she said. “They are going to have kids’ crafts and activities. I am excited about the plein air festival. So, we will showcase at least 20 artists. I know I have more registered, but I always feel like I lose a couple before the event starts. They will be set up around the festival area, painting what’s around them.”

The Cars on Broad car show will also once again be a part of Fiddlin’ Fest.

“That’s always super popular,” Kent said. “I feel like that grows every year. That’s going to be on the 300 and 400 blocks. The Armuchee Ruritans do such a great job with that. We will also have our downtown businesses opening up their doors and kind of spill out into the street. They will be vending and having a sidewalk sale.”

Again, Fiddlin’ Fest is Saturday, October 18.
