Warrant: Man assaulted another man with brass knuckles
A Cedartown man has been arrested in connection with an assault on Pennington Avenue in South Rome that occurred on Wednesday of last week.
According to an arrest warrant:
43-year-old Bradley Anthony Miller struck a man in the face multiple times while wearing brass knuckles.
The victim sustained serious injuries and had to be hospitalized.
Miller was taken into custody on Highway 27 South at the Polk County Line.
He is charged with aggravated assault.
Aragon man charged with aggravated assault
An Aragon man is accused of trying to run over another man with a pickup truck following a verbal altercation at a convenience store at 4970 Rockmart Highway.
According to an arrest warrant:
24-year-old Jacob Andrew Turner is charged with aggravated assault in connection with the September 5 incident, which was caught on the store’s surveillance video.
On Sunday, as officers were attempting to arrest Turner on the warrant, he ran into his home on Wax Road in an attempt to get away.
He then physically resisted the officers, resulting in a misdemeanor count of obstruction of law enforcement.
Man accused of choking, threatening woman
An Armuchee man is facing a felony aggravated assault charge following his arrest at his Warren Road apartment on Friday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
20-year-old Todd William James II slammed and choked a woman, telling her he was going to kill her.
James is also charged with terroristic threats and acts and battery.
Man charged with possession of cocaine
A Summerville man was arrested over the weekend on Georgia Loop One on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A Georgia State Trooper stopped a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Ryan Lynn Bolenbaugh for speeding.
The trooper detected the smell of marijuana, and during a search of the vehicle, a small bag of cocaine and a small bag of marijuana were located.
Bolenbaugh is charged with possession of cocaine, DUI, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
