A 7-year-old child was ejected from a vehicle in a crash on I-75 in Bartow County on Monday.
According to the Georgia State Patrol:
A northbound Toyota Camry was in the middle northbound lane when it was struck by a white passenger car.
The Camry then struck a Chevy Suburban in the left northbound lane.
The Camry and the Suburban then traveled into the median and through the cable barrier.
The Suburban began to overturn and traveled into the southbound lanes and struck a Chevrolet Silverado, which began to overturn, ejecting the child, who was flown to Scottish Rite Hospital for his injuries.
Three other occupants involved in the accident were taken to Kennestone Hospital for their injuries.
The white passenger car that struck the Camry continued north on I-75.
The crash occurred just before 4:30 p.m. near Emerson-Old Allatoona Road, and I-75 Southbound was shut down for approximately 3 hours.
