A Trion man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Wednesday, charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, battery, and terroristic threats and acts.
According to the arrest warrants:
48-year-old Buddy Dewayne Langley slapped a woman and grabbed her by the throat, dragging her from one location to another at a home on Everett Springs Road in northern Floyd County on May 23.
He also attempted to strangle a man and punched the victim in the face.
Langley also shoved a third person and threatened to shoot those two victims while lifting his shirt to imply he had a firearm.
The incidents occurred in the presence of eight children, who range in age from less than a year old to 17, resulting in eight counts of 3rd-degree cruelty to children.
