Man accused of assaulting family member with a food tray
A 58-year-old Rome man was arrested at his North Broad Street residence on Monday in connection with an incident that occurred on July 18.
According to the arrest warrants:
Johnny Glenn Trammell assaulted a male family member with a food tray, breaking a toe on the victim’s right foot.
He also threw a blunt object at a woman in the home, causing a dark bruise on her left knee.
Trammell is charged with battery and aggravated battery.
Woman accused of stealing vehicle
A Silver Creek woman is facing a felony count of theft by taking a motor vehicle, as well as several misdemeanors, including theft by shoplifting, theft by receiving stolen property, obstruction, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
30-year-old Cierra Danielle Bagley took a vehicle valued at more than $1,500 and then would not return it, refusing to speak to the owner to arrange a pickup.
She is also accused of stealing $45 in merchandise from Dollar General on Cave Spring Road on June 3.
Then on Monday, Bagley fled from law enforcement, running back into her house.
Man charged with meth possession
A Rome man was arrested on drug charges at a location on North Broad Street on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
53-year-old Christopher Lee Chalker was found with suspected methamphetamine.
He admitted it was meth after being read his Miranda Rights.
Chalker is charged with possession of methamphetamine.
Report: Man threw Xanax in a bush, left
A Garden Lakes man was recently arrested on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
40-year-old Brian Christopher Vines was in possession of suspected Xanax or alprazolam pills in an unlabeled bottle on Redmond Circle back on July 12.
He then hid the drugs in a bush and left the scene.
Vines is charged with possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, abandonment of dangerous drugs, possession of drug-related objects, and possession of drugs not in the original container.
