Students in both the Rome City and Floyd County School Systems head back to class on August 1.
Both school systems are allowing teachers and parents to meet the teachers later this month.
Open houses are scheduled for July 29 and 30 for those attending classes in the Armuchee Model and Pepperell areas.
Open Houses in the Coosa area will be July 29, 30, and 31.
The Rome City Schools will hold “Meet the Teacher” events on July 30 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Anna K. Davie, Elm Street, Main, and West Central.
That same day, “Meet the Teacher” events will be from 3 until 6 p.m. at East Central, from 2 until 6 p.m. at West End, and from 1 until 6 p.m. at Rome High School.
On July 31, 8th-grade students at Rome Middle School can meet their teachers from 1:30 until 3:30 p.m., while 7th graders can do so from 4 until 6 p.m.
