One arrested for aggravated assault, another arrested for felony obstruction on Mardi Way

A Rome man is facing a felony aggravated assault following an incident at his Mardi Way home.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

36-year-old Deaundre Martel Wade pointed a firearm at a man.

Wade had been convicted of a felony in 2009, resulting in an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

A 31-year-old Rome man was arrested at the same location on charges of felony obstruction and misdemeanor battery.

According to jail records:

Porsche Celes Williamson lunged at a police officer and attempted to bite him.

He also threw a chair, striking a woman in the head, causing bleeding.

Report: Woman ran from deputies, damaged patrol car

A 31-year-old Rome woman was jailed late last week on charges of felony interference with government property and misdemeanor obstruction.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

India Rhancel Woodall ignored commands to stop running from deputies and caused damage to a patrol vehicle while fighting with law enforcement as they tried to arrest her on an active warrant. 

The incident occurred in the 400 block of Pennington Avenue.
