Rome and Floyd County will celebrate America’s Birthday on Friday with two big events.
The first is the Cave Spring 4th of July Parade, which starts at 9 a.m.
The best place to watch is on the square in downtown Cave Spring.
Motorized Vehicles line up on Perry Farm Road facing Alabama Street starting at 8:15.
Walking folks gather at the Lawnmower Shop/Old Depot.
Then, Friday afternoon, Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic will sponsor the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation’s 2025 Independence Day Extravaganza.
The park will open to the public at 4 p.m. with inflatables and face painting for the kids, and a variety of food trucks and concessions available. Wristbands for the inflatables will be $5. Later in the evening, park goers can listen and dance to Kevin Allen Music Productions live from the Coca-Cola stage.
The fireworks will be launched from the top of Jackson Hill beginning around 9:30 p.m. Zambelli Fireworks will light the
sky with more than 1,500 fireworks of all types, colors, and sizes.
“We look forward to this event every year, and we want everyone to come out to the park and enjoy a great day of food, fun, musi,c and of course fireworks,” Todd Wofford, RFPRA Director, says. “We also want to thank Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic for sponsoring this great event.”
Independence Day also marks the anniversary of Floyd Medical Center, which opened its doors on July 4, 1942.
