Georgia gas prices increased by nine cents compared to a week ago.
Georgians now pay an average price of $2.95 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.
That’s is a couple of cents higher than a month ago, but still 31 cents lower than this time last year.
It costs drivers an average of $44.25 to fill a 15-gallon tank of regular gasoline. Despite the price increase at the pumps, Georgians are paying almost $7.00 less to fill up their vehicles than they did a year ago.
Local averages on Monday were $2.87 in Floyd County, $2.90 in Gordon County, $2.94 in Bartow County, $2.85 in Chattooga County, and $2.91 in Polk County.
Nationally
Since last Monday, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline has increased by 8 cents to $3.21.
