A 47-year-old West Rome man has been jailed on a felony warrant charging him with the sale of a controlled substance.
According to the warrant:
Gregory Savoy Evans Jr. sold heroin to a cooperating witness on Drexel Drive on January 16.
The sale was captured on video.
Then on May 31, during the execution of a search warrant at Evans’ Bush Arbor Place home, Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force officers located approximately 17 grams of fentanyl, 65 hydrocodone pills, 12 oxycodone pills, and 10 firearms.
Evans is also charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
