Woman accused of assaulting child
A Lindale woman is facing felony aggravated assault and 1st-degree child cruelty charges following her arrest at her Conn Lake Road home on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
38-year-old Brittney Diane Geeting grabbed a child by the throat and squeezed to the point where the victim could not breathe.
The assault occurred in front of two other minors in the home.
Geeting is also charged with 2nd and 3rd-degree cruelty to children.
Report: Man assaulted two people at Living Proof
An Atlanta man was arrested following an incident on Shorter Avenue on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
50-year-old Bobby D. Gray entered the premises of Living Proof and used an unidentified object to assault two people.
When asked to identify himself, Gray stated his name was Bilal Abdullah.
He is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, criminal trespass, and giving a false name or date of birth to law enforcement.
