Man charged with theft by conversion
A Dalton man was recently booked into the Floyd County Jail on a felony warrant charging him with theft by conversion.
According to the warrant:
42-year-old Cammie Alan Barnes rented a 2023 Ford F-650 and then failed to return it to the Shell Station on Highway 411 in Rome by the agreed-upon date, after a demand letter was sent.
The truck is valued at $58,000.
Man arrested on drug charges
A West Rome man was recently arrested at a residence on Castlewood Drive on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
38-year-old Billy Gene Creamer II was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and dicyclomine hydrochloride, which is commonly used to treat irritable bowel syndrome and other gastrointestinal problems.
He is charged with possession of meth, possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of drugs not in the original container.
