Former inmate work detail officer arrested for bribery

A former inmate work detail officer at Floyd County Public Works is facing charges of bribery and violation of oath by a public officer.

According to the arrest warrants:

32-year-old Kelsey Nicole Curtis of Summerville assisted in the facilitation of a contraband drop for cash payments.

The contraband included tobacco, rolling papers, vapes, and food.

She was paid approximately $100 via Cash App, which was then traced back to her.

In total, there were 36 transactions between June and December of 2024, in the amount of $1,469.

Curtis transferred the funds from her Cash App to her personal Cash Tag, or bank account.
