Participants in this year’s Bicycle Ride Across Georgia headed out early Sunday morning after spending the night in Rome.
During their stay at the Forum, they were treated to entertainment on the Town Green featuring music from Francisco Vidal.
The event was also open to the public.
Big BRAG is a week-long event with cyclists averaging about 55 miles daily.
From Rome, the riders headed to Cartersville.
The riders started at 7 a.m. at the Forum, with the route going up North Broad Street to Calhoun Road to Wayside Road.
The bicyclists then took McClain Road to Kerce Road and Fulton Road to Youngs Mill Road, before hitting Norton Road (which enters Bartow County) to Tom Jones Road.
They then took Ga 293 near Kingston in Bartow County
Monday, they will arrive in Jasper for an overnight stay.
From there, the ride goes to Dawsonville, Clarkesville, and Toccoa before wrapping up on June 7 in Hartwell.
