A Rome woman has been arrested in connection with the May 29 armed robbery at the Marathon convenience store at 1901 North Broad Street.
According to an arrest warrant:
36-year-old Cherieshia Sharnese Hayes was with an unknown subject who entered the store and robbed the clerk with what appeared to be a long gun.
She then fled with the suspect and accepted money from the robbery from a second unknown suspect who was driving the getaway vehicle.
Hayes is charged with being a party to the crime of robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
